Warsaw Business Journal will reach all foreign businesspeople visiting Poland

April 25, 2005

Warsaw Business Journal - the only English language weekly about Polish business and economy - will double its circulation and expand its distribution from April 25.

"Our research shows that the need for information about Polish business in English is constantly growing" the Editor-in-Chief of Warsaw Business Journal, Eliza Durka said.

Although there aren't as many foreign businesspeople in Poland as in the beginning of the 1990s, the number of entrepreneurs visiting Poland to do business is growing, especially after Poland's accession to the European Union.

"According to our sources there are currently 1.2 million of them a year. We want to reach every single one of them during their visit in Poland. That's why we are expanding our distribution outside of Warsaw. We will be present in all luxury hotels in the country, as well as on board most airlines that bring businesspeople to Poland" Durka said.

But this is not the end of the changes. WBJ will now be printed on newsprint.

"From research carried out with our readers we have learned that newsprint raises the credibility of the information. That's why we have decided to change the paper" Durka explained.

The WBJ also has a more dynamic and clear cover and a refreshed layout inside the paper.

This is not the end of the changes. After the summer the circulation will be further increased to 20,000 copies. Warsaw Business Journal is published by Valkea Media. WBJ is the company's key product in the business press segment. The WBJ Group also includes the Book of Lists (a guide to Polish business and economy) and two very popular among foreign businesspeople electronic dailies: English language Poland A.M. and Poland am Morgen published in German.
